Nostradamus C9 Q19: Darkened skies cause new chemicals to be used in crops to increase their protein content.

One of the other side-effects of the great flood is the impact of thick clouds upon food production.
Decreased light means that occasionally stars appear in daylight but the sun has too little power to ripen crops.
This and the previous verse have other links via their usage of an anagram for
drugman as well as an anagram for
Englander.
So their inclusion here. may well imply they provide the means of boosting protein
for a soon to be born infant of an important family line.
The Fougeres whose blood line is mentioned in the last line of
text in this current verse were part of the family line of
Blanche of Rennes, anagrams for whom are found in the next verse, C9 Q20.
Blanche Hautpoul was the wife of the Lord of
Chateau les Rennes in the thirteenth century. Nostradamus is credited
with living in the neighbouring town of Alet les Bains in the 1520s. The
Hautpoul family is mentionned in the anagrams of several verses.
